Who is eligible for the position of Process Mechanical Engineer at Corning?
Candidates with following qualifications are eligible for the position
- BS or above degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of working experience with mechanical design and equipment construction is a plus.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and SOLIDWIRKS/Inventor software.
- Detail oriented and able to perform with limited supervision.
- Effective, high quality oral and written communication skillsProactive, independent, flexible, quick learner
- Excellent computer skills (working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office)Customer oriented; meets customer needs with quality results.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully.
- Experience on precision equipment design and automation integration such as precision stage, CNC for cutting/grinding, precision conveyor, facility automation, CCD integration.CAD/CAM capability especially for CNC application would be a plus
- Experience in equipment design field and engineering analysis FEA (Ansys/ LS-Dyna) would be a plus
- Strong capability of mechanical drawing comprehension
- Familiar with error budget methodFamiliar with GD&T, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Mechanical components.
- Familiar with manufacturing method- Milling, Turning, Grinding, Sheet metal, etcFamiliar with vibration mechanical components and system.
- Familiar with contract manufacturing and negotiate with vendor on design, cost, schedule, and so on.
- Project management skill and good communication capability
- Familiar with industrial safety standards
