- Relevant degree in finance, accounting, business or a related field. Professional certification such as CFA or CA.
- Proficiency in investment accounting, financial assets reporting and a good understanding of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyse financial data to prepare various customise reports as per client requirements.
- High level of accuracy and attentions to detail, ensuring precise and error free reporting.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems related to investment accounting and reporting.
- Ability to quickly come up the learning curve.
- Knowledge and experience in accounting and reporting of various investment product available in the financial services industry like Equity, Debt, Manage Account, AIF, Mutual funds, Held away assets reporting, etc.
- Experience working in Fund accounting and Bespoke reporting.
- Familiarity with financial software and tools as well as advanced Excel skill.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills
What are the responsibilities of Investment Analyst at Barclays?
- Support Investment Advisors, Investment Managers, and Investment Specialists in the Investments team in preparing/collating presentations/analytics/reports/reviews for clients and prospects.
- Meet/manage expectations with respect to timeliness of preparing and delivering the above.
- Ensure that reports prepared do not contravene applicable regulatory guidelines and are accurate.
- Verify integrity and accuracy of information presented in reports.
- Assist clients and colleagues to understand and interpret reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve data consistency, information, analytics, MIS, and presentation of reports and efficiency of producing them.
- Support process change management, development of templates and SOP and platform automation.
- Regularly involved in prioritising competing business demands and client expectations.
- Able to work cross-functionally to solve problem and drive decision making.
- Action-oriented and organised.
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and prioritise accordingly.
- Self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative and remain calm under pressure.
