Walk in Interview at DMart: Job details

Key Responsibilities

Estimation:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overheads.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and required resources.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather essential project information.
• Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure cost efficiency.
• Maintain a database of cost information and unit prices for materials and labor.
• Quantity Surveying:
• Prepare Bills of quantities of all Civil & Finishes works Items which includes Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)
• Should have proper knowledge of Levels which is required for calculation for Excavation & BackFilling Items
• Should have knowledge of all type of Slabs – Conventional, PT Slab, Flat Slab for calculation of BBS
• To Check Estimated Quantities with Historical Data.

Billing:

• To check Final Bills inline with GFC drawings, Records, Levels, IS Codes
• To visit the Sites at all locations in PAN India & to check the Bills On Sites with actual measurements to be taken on Site
• To check the Bills along with GRN Quantities & as per work order issued to Contractor
• Should have proper knowledge of Reconciliation of all Materials
• Project Coordination:
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines.
• Support project managers in tracking project progress and identifying potential cost overruns.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on financial status and billing issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
• Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in estimation, quantity surveying, and billing in the real estate or high-rise construction industry.

Skills:

• Proficiency in estimation and quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.
